Yes — the Coach Portal and Athlete/Parent Hub are free to use. Team registration payments (when a program collects fees) run through Stripe on top of that.

A coach logs the game and uploads a clip of film from the sideline. HER THANG reads the film, builds the box score, and matches standout plays to the right athlete by jersey number — then the recap and highlight publish without anyone writing it up by hand.

By default, nothing about an individual athlete is public. A coach can see their own roster; a college scout can only see the athletes who've explicitly opted into scout visibility, and even then it's just the recruiting profile, not personal/contact details. Families can separately choose to list a name, jersey number, and position on the public team roster — that's a distinct, off-by-default choice, not something that happens automatically from having an account.

Final scores and team names for completed games, and — only for athletes whose families opt in — a name, jersey number, position, and team on the public roster. Game recaps, highlight reels, and full recruiting profiles all stay behind login.

Both. A team is a team on HER THANG regardless of whether it's a high school program or an independent club — the same roster, scheduling, and scoring tools apply either way.

Scout accounts go through the same login flow as everyone else today; verification is on our roadmap as the scout side of the platform grows.
